I played the contest different than my actual picks today just for the hell of it. No money involved in the MLB Contest, so I played all dogs just to see what happened. Still waiting.
Actual picks: I lost with NYY ML/Philadelphia (+122 parlay), but won with Baltimore ML (+100), Cleveland ML (+115), and San Diego/St. Louis Under +9 (-110). Still waiting for Texas +1.5/LA Anaheim +1.5 (+159 parlay), Chicago Cubs ML/Detroit Red Wings ML (+115 parlay), San Francisco/LA Dodgers Under +7.5 (-115), and Chicago Cubs/Philadelphia Phillies (+122 parlay).

By the way, I didn't list my picks after the games started for any reason but to contrast teams I actually played versus MLB Contest results for the same teams.
I'm a total amateur and certainly not good enough - or dumb enough - to try and gain credibility in this forum as an MLB handicapper.

I do my own research then look for consensus picks among the better
cappers here to bolster my own picks. Overlapping picks among skilled cappers often yield
winners. The hardest pick was Cleveland: I really had to fight the overwhelming trend backing the White Sox toselect the Tribe today. I made a bad pick with the Cubbies today more on my own instincts than consensus trends. But that's life.
I do this for fun more than anything. Makes watching the games interesting.
Best of luck to everyone!

That's cool, bud. I do pretty much the same thing as well. I definitely think blind tailing cappers is a recipe for disaster. No disrespect to the cappers of course, but it's important to do a little of your own research and to find out what the trends are out there.
By the way, just ignore the likes of asher, who are just here to stir shit and nothing else. Forums are cool places to come to, but there are always slimy little worms as well.

I don't hit "f5" mostly bc I have a mac. I don't know what the hell your problem is. I've always showed you nothing but respect in the nhl forum, but hey, I guess you're just "depressed" you missed the last 4 weeks. Whatever man. Stay out of my thread, and keep doing your own thing. Pathetic.

I've followed this forum for about eight or nine years now and I've seen some really good cappers get rattled because of the haters. Just focus and keep picking winners. Ignore the idiots!

You wrote a sob story on the first page apologizing to people because you might have lost them money.
And then you say you don't hit F5 because you have a mac. Well, you know what you're doing, and now the attention is there so let's see how you like it.
How many more "depressed" references can you make before you run out of things that aren't clever?
Good luck ManassaMauler.

Also depressed, it sucks that you come in here and talk shit since I've always wished you luck in your nhl threads throughout the season. What a waste of breath that was.

What have I said to you that you consider talking shit?
I said hit F5 more so whoever is doing it gets the idea...
If anyone's done it, it's you, but it's whatever...

Mass like I wrote in Gamehunters thread its a long season and there will be pleanty of ankle tape used around here from people jumping on and off the bandwagon, but from reading your posts you obviously do your homework in regards to capping, so keep up the good work and ignore the haters, no one is forceing anyone to blindly tail, good luck the rest of the season.
