Well, sports fans, that is about as brutal as it can get. To win every conceivable stat comparison and lose 2-1 in O.T. by stranding 18 baserunners is almost impossible to believe. But; this is baseball, no whining or crying allowed. Sh..t happens. We eat it and move on.

$200 Twins -118 (Danks/Pelfrey)to give
$200 Diamondbacks +134 (C. Anderson/B. Anderson)
BOL
Twins: I am still as willing to fade Jon Danks as I have been all season and not surprised at his 0-4 h2h and 1-3 quality start records. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Mike Pelfrey seems to be back from his all his physical troubles and has turned in a 3-1 quality start record, including the last 2 straight. Let us hope and keep our fingers crossed that this is the resurrection of the Mike Pelfrey we knew 3 or 4 years ago. In a lefty-righty matchup such as this the Twinkies also boast a significant offensive advantage.
Diamondbacks: I will gladly take righty Anderson over lefty Anderson in this one and count on the Diamondbacks to get the runs their ratings versus lefty indicate they should.

Each year nikki, you can find a pitcher or three, that may have been the man for awhile, but somehow lost his 'stuff' over the winter. I agree that maybe this isn't the game to fade Weaver, against another pitcher I have concerns about. A game like this screams over to me, but next thing you know it's a 2-1 final.

Yes, Weaver is an easy fade, and I have already done it, but with the Giants offense you don't know if you will get enough runs to win (Pirates yesterday, Yuk) . Lackey was a VERY EASY FADE yesterday and we took one below the belt. No matter what is posted on the Covers MLB Forum, there is never any such thing as an easy win and those that turn a profit over a long period of time understand that. BOL
