Hello I am new to sports betting i would like to learn as much as i can. Is there someone that would be willing to teach me what is needed to win and have some fun thanks from the new guy.

yes. the best thing you can do in sports betting is to never start in the first place.

because when you win, you get addicted, then you cant stop until all the money is gone.

you will learn this lesson by reading this, or the hard way. your choice. & good luck.

i wish id never started, your best lesson is to NEVER COUNT ON THE DEGENERATES IN THIS WEBSITE

they lose more than they win, as do i, as do most

It's a nasty nasty addiction... It is quite a thrill though having action on games, especially in football season.  If you just bet small ($20 a game for starters) to make the games more interesting, and don't chase losses (i.e. going all in when you are having a bad streak) you can survive and thrive.  Much easier said than done though but best of luck to you my man!

That is just it, you can't win. Sure you might win your first day or even your second, but sooner or later you will lose and you will bet what you lost plus the money that you would of won and lose again and you will start to dig yourself a hole. You will then start to bet ridiculous parlays with 12 teams that gives you hope but in reality you will be lucky to win 3 of the 12 games. You will then start paying for picks and they will lose their lock of the year game, which happens to be oddly everyday of the year.

Not to mention all the time it will suck out of your life, be very very afraid, and never step foot in here again.

Anyway, lock of the year tomorrow, I bet $5000 that the Reds will commit over 6 errors parlayed with over 3 players will hit for the cycle. I got a shot!!!!

Quit your job and get serious about it. Parlay as often as possible and any amount you lose one day just double your bets the next day and get it all back. Its a piece of cake, there are literally 100s of guys on this forum doing it for a living

I am 39 years old and was just thinking about putting 10 dollars down open a game I just don't know what to do

hey naked, be ready for sleepless nights when you don't have money to pay your bills. ALOT of people lose more than they win. I know you won't understand what everyone on here is trying to warn you about. If you have all the money in the world, enjoy this addiction.

July is the first losing month I have had this year (all off the NBA finals). Not much, like 100-400 winning months, but I only wager 40-50 bucks a game. I don't plan to get rich off of it, just a few extra bucks to help with tuition. I stay pretty disciplined though, only make 1 bet a day, 2 max. Couldn't afford a 0-5 day. Baseball is stressful as anything, wait until football season in a couple months. And if you do bet baseball, stay away from heavy juice. You'll be in the hole real quick. I stick to totals and team totals for the most part, or -120 max on a side.
