So, having looked at the historical playoffs hitting and HR metrics, man, did Milwaukee and the Padres really blow it. So much so that the Dodgers ERA is now around 4.5 and now they're 1 HR ahead of the Mets this post season (HRs for me usually signal that a team is getting it done in the post season....Padres / Milw being chokers / outliers this year). From what I can see, no one from the AL seems to be capable of hitting HRs this post season YET and the hitters are really having poor approaches at the plate.
This Padres series not only brought the Dodgers back to life, but it may give them even more confidence knowing that they still haven't played well yet and they're now in the NLCS. You have the new "we don't know any better" Mets vs the limping, yet growing confidence Dodgers. I'll wait and see the first 2 - 3 games who gets ahead and then will think about my wagers moving forward accordingly in that series while looking at other useful data from Covers.
Everyone seems to be on the Skubal / Detroit koolaid, so I'm off this game. I HATE MLB 5 game series. When will the Skubal bubble burst? Dude is so young....if Detroit wins the World Series this year, it's only down from there. I dunno......I can't see them going to the World Series this year so soon, but, I've been wrong before. :)
Angry sports bettors and anyone else, chime in!

2 - 1 series lead, all the playoff hitting / pitching metrics pointed to you being able to knock off your greatest opponent on home field, and instead of using that loss as fuel, you literally don't score for 24 innings straight and go out like a bitch after rubbing it in their faces after Game 3. You'll never be able to get rid of that stench of defeat. This was the GREATEST opportunity that the Padres could have at a World Series and they blew it. I lost a few ducats on the Padres the last 2 games, but I'll make it back in the next round and the WNBA finals, along with NHL.
But Padres backers lost with this outlier chokejob, and I'll learn from this. Milwaukee bettors should be pissed as well, but hell, we all know the Brewers suck in the postseason and still do.

Same thing will happen with the Guardians/Tigers series. All metrics pointing out to Skubal owning the Guardians and him outclassing Bibe, but the universe have a weird way of disappointing our hopes.
