Cole Hammels is coming off the 15 day DL today, which might scare some people. however, he was placed on the DL for "dead arm", which just means he was tired, after a 3runs 6 hits 4 walks performance( 4 was his worst on the year) These #'s aren't even bad. Now give him 2 weeks rest, vs a team he has a ton of success against "He is 4-0 with a 1.45 ERA in four career outings at Great American Ball Park." Phillips is hitting a lifetime .138 vs Hammels and Votto is just 2-16 against him.
Yes, cincy just had a great come back win last night. But lets remember that it isn't late sept. or oct. momentum doesn't play that big of a factor in baseball. a 14inning win could of easily hurt cincy for the next 4 games as easily as people think it could have helped.
Homer Bailey's last 3 starts were all against sub par hitting teams (fla, pit, sd) he's going to be in a rude awaking when he faces this dominant phillies line up
