Few reasons for this play in Layman's terms...
-Howard is out
-Schwarber is out
-Wind blowing way out to left field. Good for righties against Lester.
-Last 14 days, Phillies bullpen has been good. Cubs have not.
The Cubs lineup is just not very good without Schwarber. He is out today, which is a huge boost for the Phillies. Franco is back today with the Phillies. His power in the middle of the order will make up for Howard being out due to his horrific numbers against Lester. It is a good thing Howard is not in this lineup today. Phillies have actually won 5 of 6 and are playing pretty good baseball. The reason for this high line is clearly because of how bad Jerome Williams has been. He certainly won't be great today, but I'm not betting on just the pitcher. I'm betting on the different factors that could lead the Phillies to a win even if they have the inferior pitcher. I think a bunch of those factors are in the Phillies favor today. I hope they can escape with a win to get a big cash today.
