Series starts Monday. If you are playing a team to win the series, who are you playing and why?
I see the line at PHI -170 and D-Bags +140 or PHI -1.5 +120 or D-Bags +1.5 -140 for the series with Caesers.
Basically the same liens with DK except D-Bags are +145 instead of +140.
I am leaning Philly. They got past Atlanta. I don't think the D-Bags are ready for this stage quite yet. They are playing very well but also over their head. At some point the big moment is going to catch up to then. Philly has unfinished business from last year. Philly also has the best home field advantage of all the playoffs teams in baseball right now.
I am thinking about making a BIG BIG BIG bet with Philly -170. Not quite as big as I did with HOU -170 and -175 but still very big. Thoughts?

I haven’t pushed the submit button yet but leaning heavily Phillies. -170 converts to a 63% chance. Arizona has hit well to-date this post-season, but I don’t see them sustaining it through this series. The Phillies have a better than 63% chance of coming out on top, at least IMHO.
If I am able, I will likely be live betting the first couple of games.
BOL jesron and to all!
Champion of gambling mediocrity... this is one heck of a long marathon!

I bet philly to make the playoffs and win every series so far. Will continue to ride them this series -175. I also have them to win the series +850.
If philly beats Arizona, they will have home field in the world series. They are hot right now and responded well after taking that L in game 2. Arizona is red hot as well but I don’t think they are ready yet. Phillys more seasoned and experienced on both sides of the ball.
I expect philly to win the series and head to the World Series. BOL to whatever you decide. I’m a Philly homer btw lol

Not true.
If Philadelphia faces Houston, Philadelphia would have the home field advantage.
If Philadelphia faces Texas, Texas would have the home field advantage.
It's all based on the head to head season record, which determines such seeds

Unless their opponent is the Rangers. The Rangers swept the Phillies in a season-opening 3-game series at Globe Life Field. The Phillies won 2 out of 3 in Houston over the final three days of April.

Dude gotta ask do you just douche around or do you contribute anything? I can call my team any fucking thing I want. I am also a TWINKIES fan. Is that original enough for you? D-Bags have been their unofficial nickname for locals for decades so kindly take your ass out of this thread and STFU. No one was talking to you and no one needs your opinion on a god damn thing. Am I clear enough for you?

DBacks are not used to winning and will crumble in the postseason pressure. I'm not a Philly or Bryce Harper guy,or even Trae Turner, but the Phils are destined to win it all after getting to the WS last year. Phillies in 5 and then will beat Houston in 6,although i hope it's the Rangers because Houston is garbage.......cheating garbage can garbage.

I feel a slight edge to Arizona due to the fact they're 5-0 in playoffs whereas Philly lost one game. Plus Arizona keeps putting up big innings every game crooked number.
I remember back on 2007, Colorado over Philadelphia and Arizona over Cubs both swept their way to the LCS, then Colorado swept Arizona in 4 games and sat around for a week then got swept themselves in the world series by Boston.

I'm just taking each game at a time and skipping series bets. Series bets in MLB for the past 2 years of the playoffs have made buffoonery out of logic.

Just came back from Vegas, going to post my own thoughts in a new thread. But I am NOT on board it's just the value is with Arizona despite the fact that I feel Philly is the better team. But the better team, especially the one that the public is hammering in Vegas (again just returned this AM and had some solid convos with people I know there), doesn't always advance.
I see a super close series, I'm not sure why everyone talks about every pitcher EXCEPT Merrill Kelly as a top arm. I'm sure @mrbator has the stats but Kelly has been much better than Nola imo. That being said, I think these teams match up similarly with the difference the bats of Philadelphia are torrid. But as we have seen, time off from the game yields different results when you get back on the field to play, so I'm not quite counting the DBACKS out.
Find it hard to call them Dbags when truthfully have a very clean organization and their GM Mike Hazen just lost his wife last year to brain cancer....I think she is helping them be that destined side this year. But that's me and my spirituality so take it as you might.
