Pirates are the better team overall and IMO are actually at least slightly better at every facet of the game. I also like Wandy better than Marcum. And what really pushed this over the top for me is that Pedro Alvarez hit a bomb yesterday and he is the streakiest hitter alive. I expect the Pirates offense to wake up a bit and will rely on Wandy to get this game to the bullpen.
Cleveland's offense is firing on all cylinders and they really are a much better lineup than they are given credit for. Kipnis is going to prove that he might be the best 2nd baseman in the game over the next few years (yes, he might outdue Cano) and I also like Chisenhall. They also get Braun back at the top of that lineup and I trust that they can Scherzer.
The Rays are giving a few of their starters an off day and the Padres have been on fire. I do feel this game is much more of a toss up than others would believe and I love the value on it. The Padres have won 11 of 14 and are a very small ball, fast team which translates well to turf. I like the Padres pen better and will trust that Volquez can keep things going. Also the Padres are good at manufacturing runs and hitting together. Cobb has been given up a lot of hits in games this year, but finds ways to escape danger. I'll trust in the Padres here and took the great value.
Best of luck guys, I'll probably add in my later plays later today
