The Pittsburgh Pirates are 69-76 on the season, and they are 1.5 games from getting out of the basement in the NL Central. The Marlins are 54-91 on the season, but that tells just part of the story. Miami has actually been competitive against right-handed pitching, going 44-51 on the season, but they become an NL version of the White Sox vs. lefties, posting a 10-40 mark on the season. That is a gaping hole, and it presents Pittsburgh with a good opportunity as they send Bailey Falter to the hill today. The Pirates are 3-0 this season when Falter starts as a home favorite. Make the play on Pittsburgh.
