What about the other batters?
You have someone who is pitching (position player), pitching is NOT in his skill set, he has never even pitched in the majors in his entire pro career, yet he is doing what starting or relief pitchers do, getting outs...
It would almost be something like Dwight Howard going toe to toe with Steph Curry or Klay Thompson from the 3 point line.

Some positional players had pitched when they were young so they are capable of pitching. They might also do some pitching occasionally in daily training in case of the need like today.
In general they do a worse job than normal pitchers, but that does not mean a common batter can get 60% success rate against them at the first time.

Exactly! I agree with you. And also he (Rostos) doesn't realize that most major league ball players had experience pitching before whether it be in little league, high school ball or college. So it's not like they have never done it before. If you were to ask someone who never played baseball before in their entire lives they just couldn't go up to the mound and pitch in any level of baseball, they don't have the experience and the skill to do it. Most of them wouldn't be able to reach the plate throwing the ball much less try to throw strikes, nor would they have any idea how to spin the ball or grip the ball to get the effects of all the different types of pitches....lol
