think this is their year
@GT
Florida? We talking Champa Bay!. Know that the Lightning and Bucs, are legit contenders to win it all, again, Rays are defending AL Champs, it is their turn, they're better this season.
@green33
If this kid Baz continues his impressive pitching they definitely have a legit shot at winning the whole thing, they really needed one more starter after losing Tyler earlier this season. I'll be cheering for them

Also I would be remiss to not mention how great Drew Rasmussen has been on the mound. Rays front office proving once again how adroit they are obtaining him from MIL earlier this season. Consider their top 3 starters going into the playoffs appear to be McClanahan, Rasmussen, and Baz. Note none of them were on the opening day roster, just unheard of. They brought the HR hitting veteran Cruz over, Franco is proving to be the elite player everyone thought he was, breakout years for Lowe, Meadows, Zunino, and you still have quality players from top to bottom including last year's playoff hero Randy Arozarena, and the BP is as healthy as they have been all season. I'm a little bias but I'm with the OP, it's the Rays turn to join their neighbors, the Lightning and the Bucs as World Champs in "Champa Bay"!

Yes, it should be some great matchups in the playoffs, full of surprises. Milwaukee is the darkhorse in the race; they have the pitching and the pen to beat anybody. The entire playoff dynamic in the NL shifts if the Redbirds beat LA. It could happen. I don't see how San Fran can win a 7 game series with their pitching staff, but you never know. Braves don't have enough pitching either IMHO.
Yanks with their great pitching and pen will be dangerous of they can get past Boston/Seattle in the single game playoff. As much as I love their line-up, I don't see how Tampa can win it with their starting pitching. I don't see how the White Sox can get there either. Don't discount Houston. They are the team in the race with something to prove. I think the two best darkhorse bets are Houston and Milky.
October is a great time of the year for sports fans and bettors, football in full swing and the World Series too. Can't beat it. Heading to Sin City in a few days. Vegas finally got something right, running the World Series of Poker along with the other World Series. Took a pandemic to get them to do it.

I joined in today with Rays at +700. They are better offensively than last year. Franco and Cruz help Arozarena and Lowe so much more than anything they had last year

Just goes to show you about the Rayz. They have absolutely nothing to play for @ NY who needs to win. McClanahan pitches only 3 innings. And the Rays win. This is a much better team than last year. McClanahan, Rasmussen, and Baz are the 3 starters you have to have in the playoffs. Last year they had 3 too but Morton and Glasnow struggled. How will these young talented pitchers do? They have alot more offensive support now than last season, 2 different offenses altogether, most runs scored in baseball this season-

They aren't gonna lay down for the Yanks either, as they are a potential opponent. Make them burn Cole tomorrow or in a tie breaker game
