I have a much different way of betting on regular season baseball as opposed to the spring. I'm a numbers guy. I'm also a pitching guy. I'll occasionally consider the lineups for my games but I believe pitching dictates everything in baseball.
I use three key stats to determine if I should bet on a game. I don't want to give those stats out but I'm going to explain how I decide if a game should be bet. When I look at these three numbers, I'm looking to see if this particular pitcher has incredibly good numbers, mediocre or incredibly bad numbers.
If 1 pitcher has two or more incredibly bad numbers, I look at the other starter. He must have NO incredibly bad numbers. That's a bet. If I look & 1 pitcher has two or more incredibly good numbers and the other has NO incredibly good numbers, that's a bet. Any other mixture is a non bet - for sides.
For totals, I'm looking to see if the two pitchers have a combined 4 or more incredibly bad numbers. If they do, the play is the Over. If there is 4 or more incredibly good numbers, the play is the Under.
Now, I will also look over the bullpen. I won't get too much in to it here but if I believe the bullpen I want to bet on could cost me the game, it's a no-play. Got all that? lol I didn't think I'd have a play for tonight, but the numbers are screaming for it.
Dodgers & Padres UNDER 6.5 (-101) for 1 unit The 2 pitchers combined for five out of six. The bullpens don't scare me from this one at all. This looks like another game like we had in the opener in Australia.
