RL/Alt RL Experiment

Top of the afternoon Gents,

With just a few playing days left in the season, I am trying a new system to see if there is any success in it.  It requires zero research, and really is a crap shoot and ultimately your betting 1 to win 2, so a high percentage of wins needs to come in.

Basically what I am trying is playing all RL/Alt RL where I get a value of +180 or greater on both sides.   You will only get a few per night, if any, and tonight I have only found one.

LAA -1.5 +190

Oak - 1-5 +195

I am risking 5 units on each.  With hopes either team wins by 2 to take +4units on LAA and +4.75 units on OAK.

This is the first time I have tried something, no idea if it works or if its suicide. 

Correction:

LAA -1.5 +180, Oak -1.5 +185

I do it already sometimes,if I have a team I like that is close to a pick,I will use the alt r/l at times,yesterday I did it with Pitt because I have bet on Happ on the road and noticed he seems to die soon after the 5th inning,think it was the 7th inning they went up 5-2 and won 7-3.

But to just blindly do it without looking at the game doesnt make alot of sense,esp.now without knowing who teams might be playing,but 5 units is a bit much to try out this thing,I only do 1/2 to 3/4 of an unit on these things.

Not necessarily. Here's what I found out :

The last 10 games the A's played in which the favorite was less than -120, the game was decided by 2 or more runs 9 times.

The last 10 Angels games in the same moneyline range, were decided by 2 or more runs 7 times.

So based on these recent small sample stats, tonite's game has a nice 80% chance of someone winning by more than one.

I'm just not a trend guy....mostly because you just don't know the circumstances in which those stats were made.  But that's just me.  If this was profitable, someone would have figured it out a long time ago IMO.
