This series is a fucking coin toss, but CLE is playing better, day to day, right after they lace em up.

I'll take the Sox in game 5 too. Sabathia is pitching like shit right now. The Sox were shut down in games 3 and 4 because they couldn't get walked but that won't be a problem with CC.

Sabathia has had a tremendous year; he has one bad game and suddenly he sucks?  This is why the line always gives too much credit to the Red Sox.

In sports you are measured by your last performance. Beckett being a -115 starter tells me the oddsmaker is giving CC and Cleveland tremendous respect. Beckett is a proven big time pitcher while CC isn't yet - CC struggled his last few outings. The Red Sox are a slight favorite and should be with Beckett going Game 5. I don't recall anyone saying CC sucks.

I respect the effort of the bullpens, and think the Cle manager will pull out CC before it gets too ugly, but I'm gonna go out on a limb, and predict the score tonight, fellas...

CC wont get lit up for the 3rd straight game. I just dont see it happening. I do see Beckett pitching a gem though as he has in his first 2 games, but CC wont be the reason if the Tribe goes down. Yet I would have said the same thing about CC on the first 2 games not expecting him to pitch so poorly so who knows for sure. I think with this game being in Cleveland, Sabathia will be lights out and this game will come down to whoever plays small ball really well, and that would have to be the Indians. But what do I know. I had the Yankees and Phillies in the World Series.
 
Indians in 6 most likely. I don't want to see the Sox in the World Series, but it would be some matchup against the Rockies. But as a Yankee fan, risking that would be to much, and I wouldn't sleep until next season if the Sox won another Championship.

red sox have 15.38% to advance to World Series if history repeats itself. only 10 out of 65 teams that trailing 3 games in LCS have won the next three.

Have you been watching the same series as the rest of us. C.C. puts forth a great effort tomorrow, maybe 3ER. If the Beckett can put togather a CY Young like effort tomorrow, you might have a puncher's chance.

I've seen a few comments about CC throwing two shitty starts in a row. He threw a terrible one in Boston, yeah, but he only allowed 3 to NY and turned it over to the bullpen with a lead. I wouldn't call that terrible. He did his job. With the Cleveland offense having some momentum lately and Boston's ineffectiveness at the plate, I see value in the underdog money.

I just don't see the Sox going out like that.. And im hoping the Sox win tomorrow so they can lose on their turf...    Thats my capping for the game haha.. Sox -120 it is!!!

The only way Bosox don't get the job done, is if they are tight, or if they really don't "give a shit" if they lose (end quote Manny Ramirez) And btw, I admire Manny Ramirez' comments. That was the truth, and I appreciated it. WHo gives a rat's ass. Life does go on. You try your best. If some other team figure sout a way to take you off your game. OK. Tip your cap "Nice game fellas" and move the fuck on.
 
Still like the RedSox to play haters on Cle tomorrow, and getting anything but a groundball off Beckett's A-game is a miracle/accomplishment.
 
Check out Beckett's stats in postseason, and you tell me if you wanna play Mr tipped car Sabathia, or Lights Out Beckett.

And this is the team that was down to NYY 0-3, and won 4 in a row...then did it in the Series.

i sure hope so.  the recent trends are pointing towards beckett sitting them down one after another, and CC having control problems.

went for a split between the moneyline and runline

and i also enjoyed hearing manny say it like it is.  this is just a friggin game, and life won't come to an end if they lose.  sometimes people need to be reminded of that.  plus that's really the attitude you need in order to not put too much pressure on yourself, you usually perform better more relaxed and with less pressure.  hell just look at the dbacks or rockies for a great example of that.

Before the line came out, I figured Boston would be favored by -130 or -140. When Boston was only favored -120 I should jump on it right? Nope- the oddsmakers are setting the trap. They want us to bet on Boston because they know Cleveland is going to win.

you mean like the trap they laid for Boston backers in game 7 of the 04 ALCS? The team that had won 3 straight was still at great odds, designed to suck in all those who dared believe it was actually possible to come back from 0-3 down?

The line is based on the publics eye and most of the public are boston fans or just dont think its possible for the indians to win in 5 games.Now with becket out there and cc coming off a bad game of course everyone thinks boston going to win.So yes the line is  in a way a trap but its not like +110 is a huge dog.The truth is the indians are playing great baseball and have strong momentum as underdogs, after there extra innings win they feel like they can beat boston.I like cc and becket to be neck to neck the whole way.whatever manager pulls or doesnt pull his starter in time will determine this game.I think francona blew this series.Becket should have started game 4 and be ready for game 7,but i have also heard that francona felt that becket needed to be fully rested due to a soar back.Francona is going to have a long offseason if becket loses this game.

    The other thing is when becket beat the cubs in game 5 when they were down 3-1 in 2003 alds he was at pro player park in sunny warm florida with his fans.Jacobs field is not where he wants to be.  Baseball is all about momentum in the playoffs, look at the rockies.
