Everyone says wins are "so important" and are hating on those who disagree when it comes to naming a Cy Young winner. I don't understand that at all. Put Felix Hernandez on the Yankees or Rangers and see what his win/loss record is and tell me he isn't the Cy Young.

Cy Young is for the best pitcher in the league...not the best one on a winning team.

I agree. And furthermore, wouldn't it be MORE difficult for a pitcher to do well on a shittier team? Never understood the whole logic about being on a winning team.

same can be said about cole hamels...how many times this year has he given up 1 or 2 runs and got the loss....his w/l record clearly doesnt show how good of a pitcher he is

It may sound strange,,, but I think todays game will go along ways to determining Felix's chances.... especially a non-win,,,  He now has a lot of momentum behind him regarding this award and just cant afford a setback now that would stop that, I'm not sure if he could recover said mo this late.

Acutally until they get rid of the non-participants as voters these awards are kind of a joke anyways,,, but that's another debate I guess.

Before last night...I liked Buchholz. It's a crap shoot because I really don't know how they vote.
