Once again, it will be the Rays RL or the porch. The Mariners just look horrible on offense, and I think Branyan's abscence is starting to take it's toll . . . with the muscle, this is a very poor offense with a little bit of pop, without him, it's an extremely poor offense with little to no pop. Certainly, Halman could step into on, or lopez could hit a homer, oh wait, his allottment for the next two months has been used up on this road trip. On friday, the RL cost +122, then +108 last night, and now today, it will require -105 . . . once again, i see little reason to avoid making a play that needs the Mariners to score less than they should, they consistently underachieve at the plate, and I don't really see too many scenarios where seattle wins this game, thus i think it's safe to project a multi-run win by the Rays . . . the Rays own the most wins in games started by LHP, and they also own the best win pct. in the AL in such games.
the mariners will win games at big prices every now and then, just note the 3hr game by lopez earlier this week, or felix's near no-no, or fister's game vs texas in which the mariners turned several high quality defensive plays, or . . . oh wait, there are no more "ors" lately. those are the only three games they've won over their last 15 games.
