What exactly went wrong? Why was a pitcher who has been known on this board as a player who gets lit up so turned on tonight? Why were the Mets chasing everything, looking like amateurs? Was it the cold weather? The strike zone parameters? I don't get it. The o3.5 TT was almost a given to hit based on previous data. But how come the Mets couldn't even muster up one single successful run for it? Even Lindor was chasing bad pitches with multiple chances to get the Mets going.
I want to back the Mets for their next game with Quintana on the mound. However, I need to confirm that everything is all right first. I'm not sure exactly what's going on, if the weather conditions are similar, and how everything is affected, etc.

Cuz betting makes no sense. What we logically think will happen more often doesn’t happen lol. Knew once I saw every other thread hereabout how buehler was gonna get smoked, he’d probably pitch just fine enough
Shocked the over hit. Thought under was gonna hit cuz everyone was on over as well

Bad Luck? The Mets had their chances to answer and just failed early in the game.
I didn’t really understand all the Mets Love although the Dodgers were going to win a game in NY, so why not the game everyone thought they was going to lose?

Having JD Martinez and not Winker was a bad move.

Yeah, they took out their spark plug, Winker. This whole experience was weird. Plus, putting Severino in a must-win game instead of going with Quintana, then Severino, then Sean if needed.

The dude has been known to get smashed more than those furry animatronics from the movie "Willy’s Wonderland" with Nicolas Cage. I can't believe that he looked like that tonight.

I can believe it. I’ve taken so many heavy MLB favorites over the years where the other side has some horrible pitcher up and he ends up pitching just fine. Had a feeling that would happen tonight. Gambling is stupid

Did you watch the game? They took first pitch cock shot fastball most of the time and then swung at his junk all night out of the zone. After a professional has a bad outing, typically they adjust and try to perform better. The playoffs amplify that. Instead of trying to make contact and move runners around, all they did was swing for the fence all night trying to hit a game tying HR at every at bat. Yet didn’t swing at the best pitches of the ABs. It appears the Mets Magic is gone.

I watched it. But I'm not sure how a bunch of professionals could get fooled by a dude throwing a fastball out of the strike zone, then coming back in with a curveball over and over.
