I remember 3 years ago he turned down 13 years 450 million from the Washington baseball team, guess he made the right decision.  He might not get 70 million but at least 65 per 

He's worth what someone is willing to pay and with Boros negotiating it will be top of market.

NHL has a salary cap its time MLB has one. No player in ANY SPORT is worth these megga contracts. Baseball and Basketball are totally out of hand and a few in football are the same way. As of yesterday they are talking 710 to 730 mil for Soto so I guess the Dodgers got a hell of a bargain on Ohtani because he is literally two stars wrapped in one looking at Soto's expected salary Ohtani should be 1.5 billion yup salary cap needed.

Soto at 281 BA and 41 homers with average fielding is not worth 765m over 15 years.  So glad the yankees didnt get Soto at that price.  Cohen is reckless and this kind of money will just ruin the game.  

I was way off, not even close to 65 million, just a measly 51 million a year, how the hell he going to feed his family on that???  Latrell Sprewell is writing him a sympathy card right now 

I agree to an extent, but the walks and the number of pitches that he forces pitchers to throw, he's a wrecking ball for pitchers.  I don't know if Aaron judge will ever be the same regular season.  We already know the postseason choke

Soto's bat did get the Yanks to the playoff this year for sure, but he is just an avg outfielder IMO.  can't cover a ton of ground that for sure

Can't have two monster contracts on one team anyway, that is just dumb
