Chicago has 2 teams, Cubbies and White Sox. One north side and the other south side. I always hear people say the south side is bad because of crime and all that.
If this is true, why the heck do they have a stadium there? Is the area around U.S. Cellular Field safe? NYC guy here so i don't know much about other states.

The "south-side" is a pretty large area, be more specific. Any city has bad parts and crime. Around the cell is pretty safe and a pretty nice neighborhood actually. If you go across the Dan Ryan you start getting into rougher parts of the city.

Pac Bell was built in a bad part of SF,but now you can go there at night and go bar hopping in the 20 or so bars that are within 10 city blocks or more from the ballpark.They are building these new ballparks in bad areas so businesses and rest-bars and whatevers move in to fix up the areas.
You need to get out of NY,you have been out of the city right??,lol

Hey it was only about 4 or so years ago that one guy got shot and killed in broad daylight right outside Wrigley field after a friday afternoon day game.
It was in the middle of the street by the shitty Cubby bear bar on Addison when the incident happened.
Boy did the media keep that one quiet.
It would of killed the sox if it was outside Cellular,trust me.
All over one guy hitting a car in the crowd with a little minature baseball bat while the crowd was all leaving.
What a waste that was.
