 St.Louis struggles to get basehits and score runs and St.Louis playing the bullpen game it looks like and their bullpen loves to walk a ton of players even this slumping cubs team should be able to win today

This is the typical "trash" game  that the odds makers schedule for the first degen game of the day. Usually, it's 2 mediocre/sh1t teams like:

-Reds vrs Pirates

-Brewers vrs Cards

-Detroit vrs Chicago White Sox

-etc..

Totally inconsistent, which creates coin flip odds that will allow for the odds makers to collect their 10% this afternoon.

It sucks that I'm a degen and I will try to find something to bet for this game to satisfy my cravings..

If we lose our wager  here, it will begin the downward spiral of chasing for the evening..

Yep, it's like odds makers wrapping money in poo and we just pick it right up every time. 

So how do we know which side to take. 

What about over/under? Any opinion?

 Well I've been going back n forth on that all day and I would say over because the line is 8.5 with the wind blowing in which they normally set at 7 to 7.5...but day games at wrigley have been going under and with this cubs lineup they couldn't score 1 run yesterday against Philly but as long as cubs hammer st.louis bullpen cubs and over should be good

Like I said earlier, two totally inconsistent teams   thus coin flip odds.  You don't know when these teams will show up or will be a complete let down. 

Odds makers will collect their 10% this early afternoon..

 Thanks, I will try with over 7. When I take under, I usually lose in the 1st inning..

 I too was about to make a degen bet on the Cubbies but when I usually do, it loses. Your words about inconsistent teams rang in my head and I stopped myself from trying to pull something out of my ass. I wonder how many people have the balls to bet against themselves? I think some of us could benefit from betting against what we think but I know for myself, I like to be right but in sports betting being wrong can be highly profitable

 Well should the cubs be a big favorite?in my opinion I would say no thats why I'm taking them..I think this line should be closer to -110 for both teams

I understand your point, however the way i see is Cardinals are coming back alive after previous series against Giants, but Cubs…. are sinking. 

So i rather throw coins on Cardinals today.

 No they shouldn’t be at all in the slump they’re in. It was just a stay away for me, I’d rather put my money on more consistent teams. I believe sometimes odds makers will try to get people to bite but not always as they know that we know
