Sunday Night MLB: Tanaka redemption lies ahead

Red Sox/Yanks:

Yankees with their worst offensive start in 50 years with a pitcher who has only thrown 11 innings since this supposedly horrible injury are laying -110 against the Red Sox tonight with a guy who looked unhittable last start?

So Tanaka gets exploded by the Jays in his first start. wasn't locating pitches at all and struggling. Now everyone looks to how Bucholz shut down the Phillies and pictures a Tanaka who is in shambles and will be the same guy vs the Red Sox and says Red Sox are definitely gonna win this game.

This is probably the worst thing you can do in baseball especially with a pitcher as high a caliber as Tanaka. I liken it to the beginning of the season for the GB Packers last year when everyone was panicking saying they were toast for the season.  You must have patience in baseball. And yes I know, I know. Things don't always revert to the mean immediately the very next game....

Tanaka and yanks with huge chip on their shoulders for this game. Bucholz was destroyed by the Yanks last year and overall was just not a very good pitcher. I am not sold by 1 win that he has the mechanics to go toe to toe with tanaka tonight with yanks in desperation mode. Not to mention Bucholz has known to be historically awful on the road, including last year. I forecast Yanks to get to him pretty well tonight and tanaka with heightened concentration to get this W.

Going to wait till half hour before gametime for possible line drop but as of right now....

Also, A-rod will not be playing first base today thank god .

If Yanks didn't feel comfortable with him going that last start and struggling they would have shut him down for this game.

Yes, the only thing that goes into making a line is the sweep angle. I stand corrected. my mistake

Because this is a game where they won't have to score many runs to win. A few timely hits here and there against Bucholz and we will be fine. Going to actually do small parlay with under 7 as well just waiting for better plus money than 115

Think the sample size of one game and a few meaningless spring games doesn't prove this. Also think one good start by Bucholz who on the whole is a much lesser pitcher than tanaka doesn't prove he is back to his form he was in a few years ago either. We'll agree to disagree. Enjoy the game
