This is a close matchup. Given the odds, I'm willing to take a chance on this one and bet on the plus side. I think the odds are a bit skewed because the last time these two pitchers met, Myers did well for 4 innings. But let's see. This is as much gambling as sports betting can be at this point, like playing roulette.
Manaea had gotten tagged up in the last recent series in Milw too, worse than Jose did. Myers is a rookie and is more susceptible to getting lit up in this spot than Quintana is IMO. They'll be pitching carefully to Cheerio tomorrow am sure too. As long as the Mets have the lead after 7 innings then they'll win. They're not gonna score off of their closer Williams most likely unless he gets wild. Wasn't the case tonight. Also, the Mets haven't hit any homers yet and I think that's gonna change in this game! I like the Mets too.
Also, Quintana has been very solid over the past month or two. Myers up and down and rarely shuts anyone down. Is a plus that the Mets just saw him.
