We've all seen this scenario play out before. Two teams make a blockbuster trade and all of a sudden everyone either wants to bet with or against them. They just lost 'insert superstars name', how will they ever compete? They just got 'insert superstars name', how can they lose?
Usually in the end, these teams that you figure don't have a chance somehow find a way to pull it out. It may same like a silly reason to bet on a team, but it's reason. Just look at Boston yesterday. I assure you bettors thought they were getting great value with KC given the state of the Red Sox but look what happened there.
Now look at L.A. Everything just seems to be lining up wonderfully for the Dodgers. They make this trade and have Gonzalez in the line-up tonight, Kershaw on the mound and they have to face the pitiful Marlins. This is a team that has been adding superstar after superstar since Magic and company took over the team.
On paper, it shouldn't even be a contest.
It's usually never as good as it looks though.
