Halos fan here,  Jeter is everything right in baseball, end of an era for sure, will not be the same after he's gone.

I love the guy and I'm a diehard Sox fan..I'm gonna kinda sorta miss him.

What else can you say about a great baseball player?  Played the game humbly on the biggest stage, NYC.  Never embarrassed his team or his city.  Never flapped his mouth.  That takes a very special person.

He is definitely a class act. I just wonder how long it will take the first troll to come in to say some negatives about the guy just for attention.

Well that already happened during the All Star break. Saying a first ballot hall of famer is overrate isn't really an insult. It's just saying he's not the best player to have ever lived, which nobody is saying about Jeter anyway.

The best thing about Jeter is that every accolade on the field can be matched by a complement about him as a person.

I applaud his efforts off the field. Dating numerous hot women, never getting married, not having kids, and keeping his net worth in check.

Every time he went to another city the home team said the same thing because they're the ones that really took advantage of it.

But yea...Jeter is the selfish one because he clearly demanded that everyone give him something. It was all over the news. Oh wait...it wasn't? He never asked for any of this? Hmmm...

just came back from the game and the ceremony they held before the game was so awesome, i mean, fu*king Michael Jordan was in the building, nuff said lol

totally shed a tear as i watched this dude's entire career for the last 18 years and he will surely be missed
