Totally agree. I think having 1 wild card game is stupid too. Make the wild card a 3-5 game series, increase the division series to 7, and shorten the stupid long and useless regular season by 12-15 games. Owners won’t mind because they’ll make more on 6 playoff games than 12 regular season games anyway.

Anyone asking for shorter games, shorter season are fkn idiots. Clearly do not like baseball and just wanna gamble. Go to a dif sport. This is how baseball is, no reason to shorten season when players make the millions they do. meaningless games??!?!?!?!?!?! DID ANYONE SEE JAYS, BOSTON, YANKEES....EVERY GAME MATTERED...  people just dont understand that near the end of the season all shitty teams dont have anything to play for yet all good teams till do.  Shortening the season does not change crap teams into good teams to have meaningful games lol.... Its astonishing these idiots. Thanks for being a smart one PJ

5 games is plenty-if you want 7 go watch basketball and their endless playoffs---late 70s/early 80s was great-a relevant regular season with September pennant races with ALCS/NCLS only before World Series--'86 playoffs was the best--one month is long enough for playoffs-quality over quantity!

So don't watch them. But Yanks, Rays, Jays and Red Sox when playing them are all important games.... soooooooo..... How smart are you?

 Do you realize how much money MLB loses shortening the season 40 games? This will NEVER EVER happen in our life time. We are lucky they don’t go to 200 games a year. All about the money, how you think these guys are getting paid what they are.
