That would be a travesty.

This kid has been pitching well for a while now, in both AAA and the majors.

yeah he is sharp tonight...

What a mistake I made to bet on the Jays tonight...

that was definitely a no play game

The word is he is none too happy about being in AAA for so long when he's doing so well

Beckett, Lester, Wakefield, Bucholz, Penny or Smoltz (Dice-K we can't even include as a decent pitcher as of right now)

That is one hell of a nasty rotation if you ask me

I wonder if they could get a decent bat for Penny instead, even if they would have to add a little cash incentive.
I dont think they are too enthralled about getting rid of Buch

He has not pitched well in the majors at all. He has a no-hitter and pitched decent tonight. But until I see a string of good starts by him, he'll be just like Ian Kennedy. Projected to be great but is only a Quadruple-A starter.

Well it was a last minute decision from me, looked at many games. Then this came to my mind and pulled the trigger quickly. I have been very good with those late plays. Of course this year I bet on Blue Jays 2 times and both times lost my money. 1 thing is for sure - Blue Jays are not a good 2nd half team, but Boston is

He has actually had a handful of solid starts in the majors, just no consistency...this guys talent is far superior to that of Ian Kennedy's...take the wait and see approach if you'd like, but he's the real deal

The Red Sox would be retarded if they tradede this kid, and they would regret it....My guess is they'll try to trade Penny, Masterson, and maybe even Bowden for a bat.

Ian Kennedy. Really? Comparing a guy with no hit shit to a guy who throws high 80's and would get out pitched by Kei Igawa

Jonathan Sanchez has "no-hit shit" apparently too...is he better than Johan Santana who does not have a no-hitter? Until Bucholz becomes a permanent part of the Red Sox rotation and is affective, he is no better than Ian Kennedy.

Which is why I also mentioned he has been KILLING it in AAA as well

I'm not saying he is going to throw no hit games each time, but he doesn't deserve to be in AAA when TOMO OHKA and such are pitching in the majors

5-10  5.56 era

Great he pitched a no hitter. Boston fans talk like he is Cy Young.

No one said he was Cy Young...obviously he's gonna have his growing pains like any young pitcher does...most guys dont flat out dominate as soon as they step on the scene...like any young pitcher, he struggled with command last season...
 
If you have any clue about baseball and you watch this kid pitch you can tell he's the real deal...like I said, if you don't believe me...take the wait and see approach...of course, I have been wrong before...but i believe he'll be a great #2 starter with borderline ace potential

Smoltz blows. Wakefield is okay. I agree in that they have the best rotation in MLB period.

Wakefield is consistent and an innings eater.

also, him throwing the knuckleball breaks up the power pitching guys

Smoltz, we'll see if he can hold on...that's why I listed him/Penny last.

I kinda like Penny and he too has been pretty consistent lately

He cant hold on . Sorry, but its a train wreck when this guy pitches. Id back Beckett in a heartbeat.. underrated and

First Alf my comment was not directed at you so settle. He comes back and beats a Toronto team that is in free fall. Boston fans do speak of him as the next great pitcher. They see the no no but not the rest. What's the saying "Rose Glasses" or something along that line. I agree he has potential it's obvious but he has shown he may not be ready just yet time will tell. Beating AAA hitters is a little different from AL lineups where all 9 hitters can hurt you. Probably I'm just tired of Yankee and Red Sox fans.
