Tonight’s Matchup in Oakland, will be the Rangers vs. the A’s. Perez will be on the rubber tonight for the Rangers, he has been pitching great of late. In his past 4 starts he has posted a 1.29 Whip and has given up a total of 7 runs over those 4 starts. Opposing the Rangers will be Surkamp. He has been recalled from Triple A to make a start tonight. He has had a couple of starts in the Bigs already this year and in his past 4 starts he has posted an ugly Whip of 2.11. Offensively, Texas holds the big edge ranking 6th in runs scored and 8th in batting average, while Oakland ranks 24th in runs scored and 14th in batting average. However, that was not the case in last night’s game when the A’s ripped off 14 runs on 17 hits while holding the Rangers to 5 runs on 9 hits. The Rangers have been without there big offensive weapon Beltre, however Choo is off the DL and back in the lineup which will hopefully help make up for some of the offensive pop missing due to Beltre being on the bench hurt with a hamstring injury. Reports say Beltre told the skipper he was ready to play Monday night, however was benched to be on the cautious side. Reports say Beltre will not play till Thursday, but you never know. Either way, I think the Rangers will have enough offensive against this young shaky pitcher to win the game and cover the over. I see this game having a 6-3 or 7-3 final.
