Geeesshhh... A young guy and among the top single percentage of professionals in the world. It's understandable to dibble and dabble in some drugs here and there but at least do it with somebody you know. It's sad to see such good talent gone to waste...
"Schrödinger's bet." A bet that loses when you bet it but wins when you DON'T bet it...

"Talent". He was 28-38 with a 4.41 era. That's not talent. And he obviously wasn't very smart either by mixing painkillers and whatever else types of drugs with alcohol. My motto in life is, which is a GREAT MOTTO. "Life isn't hard, people make it hard". Really? What should someone expect if you mix drugs with alcohol? That's the cold hard truth. In which most people don't want to hear. Because society is such wussies and crybabies.

You aren't mental if voluntary go buy drugs and then consume them with alcohol. That's being a WEAK human being. I have problems. But I'm not dumb enough to mix drugs and alcohol.

Real question is: how a healthy and wealthy young man became addict to opioids? Who told him to take opioids in the first place? To cure his arm or whatever. A sport medic?
Everybody know, especially in the US, that painkillers are addictive and lethal in short terms. Thousands of people die from this every year, sometimes regular family guy who just have back problems! We're speaking about crackheads dying in the streets or cocain-party which went wrong, but drugs potentially in your pharmacy closet
Skaggs was not a weak human being, but another victim of a massive public health problem. Maybe was he depressed, who knows? But still, Fentanyl killed a lot of regular people these last years

Can't he just smoke a joint? or drink a couple of beers.
Saw the Rocketman movie, Elton John was the same way.
Needed to get higher than high, lots of alcohol. Same with Freddie Mercury, higher than a kite. Was everybody there depressed because they were on top of the world? I'll never understand it.
