I think I overthunk the Dodgers game yesterday, because I thought:
a. The Padres pick was too easy
b. It seemed everyone (and rightfully so) was on the Padres (I actually have a Padres World Series pick at +900 out there)
c. I didn’t want to pay the -155 or -165 juice or whatever it was on the Padres and I thought if Dodgers were going to win in San Diego it would have been last night.
On to today.
1. Guardians at Tigers
If this was the regular season I would be on the Guardians and their 12-3 (80.0%) record after being shutout.
However, this is the playoffs. I think Carpenter in the two slot is a force. Tigers put their hitting shoes on today.
Tigers ML -115
Good luck!

Cleveland was 12-3 and 14-1 getting +1.5 after getting shutout in their previous game. When facing the same opponent, they were 7-2 and a perfect 9-0 getting +1.5.
On June 15th, they lost 5-0 in Toronto. The next day, they were unable to overcome reliever Nick Sandlin’s worst outing of the season. He entered a 2-2 game in the bottom of the 5th and faced five batters. He gave up two singles, two walks, and a grand slam. He departed with a 7-2 deficit and they lost the game 7-6.
On July 20th, they lost 7-0 at home to the Padres. The next day, they were stymied by Michael King in a 2-1 loss. Last night ended King’s fantastic run of starting his previous 15 games and allowing 3 earned runs only once.

I think the Tigers, Mets and Padres are playing with an extra level of confidence, which is a difference maker in the playoffs. The Royals could beat the Yankees, but I don’t think they are at the same confidence level as the other three teams. The Royals won’t win both home games.
2. Phillies at Mets
Mets clinch at home for the long-suffering fans and for Brooklyn’s appearance in the first row behind the Met’s dugout. Brooklyn, please hold up an OMG Covers Trolls sign so we can spot you.
Mets ML -122
3. Yankees at Royals
Per above, Yankees ML -118
4. Dodgers at Padres
A team with Muncy, Smith, Lux and a hobbled Freeman isn’t beating the Padres at home when they have a chance to clinch in front of the home fans. Padres are steamrolling. Last night was the Dodgers chance. I’m not making that mistake again.
Padres ML -135
Good luck!
