Did you at least use the opportunity to invest in a new laptop with greater speed and more RAM? If so, once you recover your files, and install all your apps, etc. maybe, hopefully, not so bad afterall...

Did you at least use the opportunity to invest in a new laptop with greater speed and more RAM? If so, once you recover your files, and install all your apps, etc. maybe, hopefully, not so bad afterall...

Yes. I don't skimp when it comes to laptops since I use it every day for work and personal life. New one is shiny but it's a real pain to get everything back to the way I like.

What kind of laptop did u purchase? Curious as I am currently shopping for one..
My last one was an Asus and it lasted me 7-10 years so I stuck with them. Bought an Asus Vivobook Intel Evo Ultra 9. Don't do any gaming or video editing so that was more than adequate for me.
