Why is tailing someone frowned upon?

I agree with cake. There is nothing wrong with tailing someone, just don't bitch if their picks happen to lose. They're the ones doing all the work for you, they don't need your complaining to pile on them.

What lbcake said. And from what I have seen people start blaming the person they tail if that person starts to lose. I think that is one of the biggest beefs about people who tail and rightly so. So if you tail, don't blame anyone else for a loss.

I have no problem with tailing peoples picks... if i have noticed their picks have been hitting with ease, then i feel they are picking the right games for the day. A capper who wins a game by .5 or 1 run (yea there are a lot of 1 run games, but there are just as many won by 2 or more in the same day) shouldn't consider that pick a very good one. I follow peoples picks when they are winning games early (basically not a nail bitter, or needing to chase runs). Most baseball capping is done with the starting pitcher IMO. Yea the bullpen blows games, but you can not cap a game based on middle relief (teams usually have specialist for certain situations) i feel you can only cap a game based on the starter and closer. Usually you feel more confident with a better closer on the mound then say compared to a Mil play (at the moment with Gagne on the hill). If you tail someone and they lose you can not get angry about it, even if the pick you made that day wins but you didn't play it, brush it off. You made the choice so deal with it, and ride people while they are hot, everyone rides the rollercoasater, its just a matter of finding someone that is going up while you are going down, the more + days you have the more you can consider yourself a better capper. Good cappers pick games that are won with ease. Finding the blow out game is usually what you want each day. The nail bitters are the games that will eventually cost you everything.

There are numerous systems that gamblers employ to help them to become winners in the long run. Following another's picks or fading another's picks are 2 of the systems. Everyone who posts their picks are contributing to help others, if you are known to be winner in the long run naturally you're going to have followers that use your picks if you are known to be a consistent loser then naturally you are going to have followers that will fade your picks and yes there will be some full of jealousy & hatred but you should not let them bother you, your only concern should be to make money while you are gambling.

Although this website and others like this website are a very useful tool to utilize it is by no means the only option a gambler has to help him or her become a successful gambler in the long run. As I stated earlier there are numerous systems a gambler can follow to become successful in the long run. If up to this point you had always followed the top 7 pitchers in the major leagues this season your record right now would be 46 wins & just 4 losses or you could have faded the worst 7 pitchers and probably have about the same wins & losses. So when you follow or fade you could do it with other gamblers or with pitchers or with teams, all the records are out there for everyone to see nothing is a secret. I personally don't follow or fade anyone but I do follow a system I have established for myself and so far I am winning in the long run. That's the thing along with having a nice sizable bankroll one needs some sort of system to follow and of course you can't leave out discipline in the formula where M + S + D = $ucce$$
