Brewers have been the most overachieved team so far this year. But I am not buying this hype about this club. Pirates are a damn good team, especially at home. . In his career against the current members of the Pirates, Lohse has a BAA of .314. The Pirates have 5 home runs off him and an .840 OPS. So, let's just say that he was really good last time against the Pirates. On other hand, we got C. Morton who has pitched a best season of his career last year and has done well against the Brewers. The only batter he has trouble with is Ryan Braun. The Brewers only have a BAA of .264. This is a motivation series for the Pirates after the horrid performance against the Reds. They have made a statement yesterday and they won't be denied today as well.
Here are some trends worth taking into consideration.
1.Pittsburgh is 2-5 in their last seven games, 42-20 as a home favorite, and 5-2 I Morton’s last seven starts as a favorite.
2.Milwaukee is 5-0 as an underdog, 10-3 in their last 13 games, and 4-0 in Lohse’s last four starts as an underdog.
3.Milwaukee is 2-8 in their last 10 games in Pittsburgh.
I think the stats won't be factors here.
