If they get healthy they have a real chance. As of now, as. diehard Yankees fan, I'm concerned about the wild card game against Oakland/Mariners.

at first i thought kicking out Joe Girardi might be a problem, then they were winning games in late april to may and didnt seem like a problem with Alex Boone running the show.

had them going to the World Series to lose to the Cubs but that was about a month into the baseball season when i made my prediction. now im not so sure kicking out girardi was a good idea. my original lean before season started was Astros vs Cubs because signing Gerritt Cole was a big deal to me but they struggled a bit in May and lost to the Yanks when they were hot which prompted me to change my mind. i have been ignoring Boston despite them just keep on winning. they are a good team and will probably go to the WS but im still not sold on them

in my opinion its either going to be Boston, Houston or Oakland from the AL. if the playoffs were to start now the A's would be heading to the World Series but so much can happen a month from now it will be close. Houston hadnt looked quite right prior to this winning streak but i would not count out the defending champs down the stretch.

teams that have that comeback-ability factor and can win on the road will take the title. not to mention a good bullpen and clutch hitting, all 3 of them are capable of doing so
