good morning fellow sports fans, with an early game involving the tigers, I thought I would get the thread up and going...

verlander will toe the rubber against chris sale at Comerica in a 1 PM eastern matinee...at the present time, with the tigers holding a slim 1 game lead over the upstart royals, I cant focus on much else besides those 2 games.  verlander had a good 7 1/3 innings vs the royals in his last start, but looking over his season game results, he hasn't strung 2 good starts together. he has had some success over the pale hose and chris sale  was shaky in his last start. sale is pitching for pride as the white sox season is over, while verlander is pitching to get his team into the post season.... lets hope JV puts 2 good starts together....tigers F 5 at the relatively low juice of -115..

at progressive field in Cleveland young trevor  bauer has had some success pitching 84 innings and allowing just 75 hits. the tribe hits lefties fairly well, and they have a faint pulse for the last wild card spot. lets hope vargas gets hit like the tigers him his last time out.. I will play the tribe F 5 at -110 and over 3 1/2 F 5...GL

Very tough game to call. Jason Vargas is a definitely a serviceable starting pitcher who usually crushes teams like Cleveland. However, he hasn't been the same since coming back from his Appendectomy. If KC was a home, I'd jump on Vargas all day (he's my favorite MLB pitcher), but an away game after getting crushed in Detroit. However, Vargas could have a monster game and KC is hungry to gain ground. I'll pass
