Watched the entire game up until this last half inning...it is absolutely true...
This umpire has been terrible and terribly anti Boston in his calls...it's almost unbelievable...I can see Boston submitting this tape to the league with a complaint....
It's the most egregious I have seen this year...and that is saying something...

Nothing will be done, the umpires aren’t held accountable by MLB.
I'm going to predict right now that the home plate umpire strikes/balls will be replaced by a digital strike/ball indicator. The ump will still be behind the plate but he will be there only to report the indicator call and to make calls at the plate other than strikes/balls...
I will say this will be implemented in all of MLB within 3 years...

No problem with Umps calling balls and strikes with human judgement but at least be consistent.....
That is my point, Dave...
Human beings cannot be consistent like a digital robotic device...it never has a bad day...never takes off a pitch...never gets distracted...and as long as it has power, it works consistently...
Who knows what you get with human beings...? Woman pisses off an ump the before the game...it drags on him and then shows up in a bad game performance...
Or whatever...doesn't have to be a woman, I guess...lol...human's are susceptible to emotion, grudges, gas and bloating, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, headaches, migraines, bad Mexican food, good Chinese food...
You name it..it can affect a human...

you had to see the calls. they were so clearly off. one team got a strikezone twice the size. It was consistently in favor of one team by a huge margin.
game might not have been fixed, but the umpire was clearly heavily biased bc the calls were never fair.
