Did anyone see this yesterday? Yankees unveiled bats with a different design on them. Yes it was Cortez and he throws meatballs but what does the forum think about this? Did it co tribute to their success?
it looks interesting and it seems like with the sweet spot moved closer to the handle, it would seem like it was be quicker to swing with less weight on the end and it being more evenly distributed.
Curious what you guys think.

I caught a quick segment yesterday about the bats the Yankees were using, and it definitely different..But then I didn’t hear anything else on it. I wasn’t even sure it was legal. I know the max bat diameter is 2 1/2 inches, but I always thought it had to taper from narrow to wide — I didn’t think they were even allowed to do that. Either way, I guess we’ll find out more today.

The rule is not specific in the taper. They are in fact legal…for now. Some think it has to be a certain way but the mlb rule is vague, like a lot of mlb rules.

I was thinking over it this morning and at first I thought it's creating an unfair advantage but it sounds like it's within the legal parameters so props to them for being innovative.
Don’t let the last play affect the next play

I never said it was illegal or all of them were using it. Judge doesn’t get jammed much. They hit a record 15 homes runs in the first three games of a season. Is that a coincidence? I don’t believe in them.
@I-Got-5-On-It
Wont be long before more people try them out.
