I'm bored with a lot of the current new music. The new Manson album is all I have bought recently, and that's been a so-so venture. The last album I bought before that was the Deftones new one back in December, and the NIN one somewhere in between. I'm looking forward to the new Velvet Revolver and Smashing Pumpkins releases, but that's still not a whole lot coming out.
I normally listen to Metal, Rock, Alternative, in just about that order. I also play guitar and have a respect for those types of bands that can play more than three chords and yell into the microphone. For example: Breaking Benjamin > Wolfmother. Both bands are good and catchy, but BB is MUCH more versatile and is better all around. . .
I listen to Sirius on a regular basis (Octane 20 in particular), and I'm looking for something new to get into. . . I've heard songs by Framing Hanley, Red, and a few other bands that I fear will be one hit wonders, and I didn't know if anyone knew more about them, or other bands in that genre that have a solid CD all around.
Has there been anything good that has come out in the last 6 months or year that I've been missing?
Don't suggest punk or emo. I hate punk and emo.
