I have loved Adam Sandler films for a long time....but was completely caught off-guard by this film.
All I see are reviews bashing this movie, and I HONESTLY believe if you look at what this movie's true meaning is, despite some childish humor, it is nearly a masterpiece.
Great acting, especially for actors that are mostly comedic, multiple story-lines, and the kind of scenes that make you sit and think about your own life. I truly believe Sandler put some of his heart and soul into some of these scenes, after his father had passed away in real life, and it shows in the sharp, quick-witted and to the point writing. The directing was to-the-point as well- very underrated.
This film is oscar-worthy, but sadly didn't get a second look because of it's humor. Sandler delivers strong and powerful messages in this film about the choices we make in life, and about our relationships with those we know and Love. This movie puts him in another category acting-wise, if you ask me. His message was delivered loud and clear, with a ton of laughs to boot.

. It really does make you think. Having a family of your own only adds to that and those that dont have a wife and kids might not be able to put it into the same perspective as us that do can. To all those that spend more time with friends, working, going out to bars and anything else you can think of instead of spending time with family will one day regret it greatly
