Yeh, the reviewer in local newspaper gave it a rare "A" rating and said 3-d was the way to go because it showed the vastness of space and the special effects were great. Interested also because there are only 2 actors involved in this movie so director can't screw up to much trying to work a bunch of names into what sounds like a minimalist movie. Two actors is enough sometimes if done right.

Seems like one of those boring movies where the special effects are expected to make it seem like a good movie.

^ Yes.The star of the movie is Earth.  You&#x27;ve never seen our planet like this.  It&#x27;s in the back round nearly the entire movie and you forget just how beautiful our planet really is.  It&#x27;s one of the most visually pleasing movies ever made.  Plot, characters are predictable but who cares it&#x27;s about looking at Earth.

17 bucks a ticket in Imax effects were good but plot was pretty week listening to Sandra Bullock whine the whole movie was annoying

I saw it the other night. Looks like a cheap movie to make. There is only one location throughout the movie, which is in space. How hard could It be or how expensive could it be to set up a space scene in a movie studio? Not very hard and not very expensive either.  The plot line is very simple and the dialogue is boring with Bullock and Clooney.  Well, there is one cool scene where they showed the guy with the foreign accent has his face ripped through his head. Also, a couple of dead guys floating in "gravity."  That was awesome. Overall, the movie is a joke and not worth watching.

One of the most amazing experiences I&#x27;ve had in a theater.  I&#x27;ve seen the movie 2x in 3D ... and I really wanna see it again.It&#x27;s an amazing spectacle. I&#x27;m hearing some people saying it was &#x27;boring&#x27; which blows my mind.  It&#x27;s actually a little deep if you&#x27;re a thinker and &#x27;get it&#x27;.  The movie is rife with symbolism and references which escape some moviegoers.  I was riveted the entire time!  It&#x27;s a thrill ride with some depth.

Spoiler Alert- symbolism? George Clooney would rather spend the rest of his life alone in the vast empty space then spend it with a woman who is close to his age.

Ugh.... I imagine some scenes would have been cool in 3D, but the movie sucked as a whole.  Boring...  never thought a 90-minute movie could be so slow.
