Great venue to see a concert

Saw Asia at the Trump Marina Saturday night - the place seats about 1000 people.
Not often you get to see great musicians like Carl Palmer & Steve Howe in such an intimate setting.  
 
Next two shows - Rush at the Tweeter 7/6 and The Police 7/19 at Citizens Bank Park

That's cool to see names at small places. I saw Robin Trower 10-12 years ago at Parkers..........same type of venue. Got to see Pat Travers a couple years ago at a small club that only seats about 300..............totally cool......got to talk with him briefly after the show.

must see a concert at The Tabernacle in Atlanta, fantastic venue. an old church in downtown

Red Rocks [voted best outdoor venue every year] and Hollywood Bowl are upcoming in my itinerary.

Going to see Arcade Fire at both [Muse and Monolith music festival at Red Rocks as well]

your obviously from the Philly Area so you have to see a show at the Electric Factory or the TLA, they are my two favortie places to see concerts.  i am going to Randals Island this weekend for rock the bells....i cant wait.

I saw Jewell play at a Barnes & Noble cafe with about 20 other people.

I saw Big Audio Dynamite (The Clash's Mick Jones band) at a cool ass place called Janus Landing in St. Pete.
 
Saw Red Hot Chili Peppers there also before they were big. I think it was in '86
 
Great venue. I'd be certain one of you guys have been there before.
 
 
 
 
3rd and Long, as a big Yes fan, I think Steve Howe is awesome! It must ahve been a great show you saw.

Nope. About 15 years ago i was down on the 3rd street promenade in santa monica one saturday night with my wife.  we had just eaten at Yankee Doodles and played some pool.  Decided to walk over to the Barnes/Noble and kill some time.  Some chick was doing a free concert up in the cafe section.  We grabbed a cup of coffee and sat and listened.  There was about 15 people there listening.  Pretty cute girl with snagle teeth but was really good.  Thats all that we knew about her at that time.  A few years later, she hit it big.

Nice. You live down here in Santa Monica?  There's always a couple of good performers at the Promenade, and its free.

Jewel is an excellent singer/songwriter.

I would see her in concert. Last time she was in town, she was going head-to-head against Lauryn Hill though, so I missed her.

YES it was. I've seen Yes @ 40 times or so. Best was at the Taj Mahal in AC - sat 2nd row in the round, 8 members played, got to shake Wakeman's hand
