I remember watching the ABC TV movie back in the early 90s. I was only 7 or 8 at the time so this movie scared the living sh!t out of me and my siblings. This movie got me a little desensitized to horror/psychological thriller films.
To this day, it's one of my favorite "scary movies" and novels. This is really the only King novel that I thoroughly enjoyed. I am thrilled (no pun intended) that they are making a Re-Make of this movie.
Obviously the book is better even though it's huge, but I would like to see this guy's take on how he perceived Pennywise.

Just saw IT. Well done. I can nitpick a few things as I've read the book 4-5x in my life, but overall it all worked. The setting, splitting the two movies into kids/adults etc etc. Lots of new stuff and it chopped up, rearranged, and streamlined things, but none of it took away the heart of the book and it seemed to get everything important. Big mouth Richie made a laugh a bunch.

A bunch of things I can nitpick myself. I was glad they included the House on Neibolt Street which they left out of the 1990s movie.
The "Apocalyptic rock fight" could have been a lot better and I was disappointed that there wasn't more scenes of the kids playing in The Barrens. Henry Bowers was not nearly as evil or racist as he was in the book or even the first movie.
At first, I was glad that Patrick Hockstetter was included this time, but he had a very minor role. No mention that he was even crazaier than Henry and that he murdered his baby brother when he was 6.
I thought it would have been cool if there were flashbacks of what happened at the Ironworks factory on Easter Day, and what happened at The Black Spot, but it was only mentioned. Also not included, Bev bangs the Losers Club in the book and they were all only 5th graders, but I can see why that wouldn't be in either movie, hahahaha.
I think a lot of my disappointment is that it takes place in the 80s and not the 50s.
Overall, it was still a good movie but this really disappointed me. 8.5/10
