Just watched Joaquin Phoenix's documentary, "I'm Still Here".....

Pretty slow moving and had some funny parts but overall it's very dark and sad. In the past two days I have watched documentaries where someone makes the most of their life (Tebow) and someone who just destroys their life (Phoenix). Joaquin was one of my favorite actors so to see him go out like this was very sad, hopefully Christian Bale doesn't go off the deep end.

Anyone else see this documentary? What did you think?

Yeah I was wondering that too but I looked at his resume on IMDB, and he has not done any work since 2008 and has no future projects so I think for the most part it's legit.

It was an "act" which makes it boring in my opinion.

The whole thing was an act on his part, but he was playing it legit with everybody else. eg. in that interview on the Late Show, Letterman wasn't in on it and assumed he was actually nuts.

That's why he hasn't done anything since he started filiming it. He probably pissed off some producers in the process, but I'm sure he'll get some work soon.

 

 

Yea the whole thing was fake.  Affleck and Phoenix both came out and said this.  Because of it being staged I have had no interest in seeing the mockumentary. 

Well hopefully some director decides to take a shot on him, regardless of how you feel about the mockumentary I think most people would agree he is a damn fine actor. Really don't understand how guys like Nicholas Cage and Brendan Fraser keep getting work.
