when commodus said to maximus, "...and your wife moaned like a person when they ravaged her, again and again, and again." was that the truth or did he say that to spite him?
collateral-
why did vicent not rent a car and plan the route on his own?
after being stopped for the broken windshield, why did vincent not switch vehicle?

go to IMDB and post the questions. There are a ton of nerds there that will answer it usually in a day or so. From what I remember they never showed his wife get raped or anything, it was kind of implied when he said that. It's been years since I have seen both movies and I can't remember the reasons why he didn't do either of those in Collateral.

I obviously do not have concrete evidence but these are just my opinions...
Gladiator- I think that was the truth. Commodus hated Maximus partially because the romans loved him and partially because it seemed to me that his sister had feelings for him. That to me would Commodus do anything he could to anger Maximus, including raping his
Collateral- If i was going on a killing spree, I would want as little a paper trail as possible. A cab is nothing out of the ordinary and it would be easy to just kill to cabby and be gone. If there was a witness they could point out the rental and possibly trace it back to Vincent. Now he is very good pro so it would probably be very difficult to track him anyways but with the cab, it would just look like a nuthead not wanting to pay the fare.

Collaterl......he gets a cab because if you remember in the movie they reference a cab driver going on a killing spree, then killing himself and they had no leads.....thats what the one detective connects with this guy they were chasing...
Cruise was going to kill Foxx in the end and it would look like Foxx's character did the killing

yuice, I remember the son was trampled over by the group of horsemen. yet commodus said his son begged for his life. if he's lying about that then how do we know he's not lying about the other?
you can make the argument he was not dead, but given his stature that's highly doubtful.

Yea rock i see what your saying. I think he was lying about his son but telling the truth about the wife. Watching Commodus throughout the movie just makes it seem to me that he would defiantly have his wifed raped before he killed her
