IF you saw the recent movie "Red Tails", the HBO movie The Tuskegee Airmen (1995) has a much better cast, acting and telling of the story of the first African American combat pilots in the United States Army Air Corps, that fought in World War II. stars Laurence Fishburne, Cuba Gooding, Jr (who was also in Red Tails), Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Courtney Vance and Allen Payne.

it's on the HBO Signature channel Sunday March 3rd @ 12:05 am pacific time. well worth watching or recording IF you like WWII or aviation history OR just a good story with excellent acting

If you guys like movies about WW2 airmen , i can recommend the tv movie - First Light , based on the book by the same name.It is about the young british pilot Geoffry Wellum. It is really good.

I really want to see this movie, but don&#x27;t have HBO. Movie store sounds like a long shot, could be worth a call though.

This was actually on Youtube, well, all but 10 minutes of it.

The film was very well done. The air combat footage was a little dated, but that didn't matter too much. If they only made the film ten year later, it'd be winning Oscars. Laurence Fishburne is the man. Shout out to Theo Huckstable.

I liked how this film wasn't overly sensationalized like Red Tails. It still was, but it as at least believable and not an insult to our intelligence.
