yeah, i posted about it after i watched it too. i saw part one and then went to the internet to see how it ended. as a result, i skipped part 2 and went straight to 3. anyway, parts 2 and 3 are probably a little redundant but i'd recommend closing it out.
really f*cking crazy.
the people who made this happen should have been severely punished but of course they weren't because they are government.

It was because of your post that I watched it. Thanks man.
That dude has got a lot of hate in him. Either that or he is actually guilty and it's just an act.
How bout when he set fire to the woods after setting up mock grave sites?
Truly riveting. I was high when I watched it too, and it just made it that much more intense. The Metallica music they played throughout the doc was just perfect too.
I'm curious... what's your take on that case?

yes, there is a part 3. you'll definitely want to watch it.
i think there's another documentary on it as well. west of memphis or something. i didn't see that one.
the whole thing is just outrageous but possibly the most unique part of this whole thing is how much footage they got of this case, especially back then before the internet and 500 cable channels, etc. these kids are so lucky they got this footage of the case because if they didn't, there would be no documentary and all three kids would be in jail for life or executed. i wonder if they know how lucky they are that these documentaries were done. probably.
who knows how many defendants are rotting in prison or on death row or have been executed who screwed like these guys but weren't lucky enough to have a movie director and other celebrities get interested in their cases.
at the end of the day, because i've been in criminal law for the better part of the last two decades, as f*cked up as this case was, it doesn't surprise me. our criminal justice system has major problems. and then you go to some backwards, redneck county like this and anything f*cked up is possible. you know how it is, government is a bad combination of incompetent and never, ever willing to admit they are wrong.
i have more comments but you should watch part 3 first.
