Watched Harper for the first time.  Liked it a lot.  Already think Hud and Hombre are two of the 50 best films ever, and I liked The Huslter as well.  He had a real knack for making great films starting with the letter "H."    Funny thing is that all those movies were made within a few years of one another.

really like that TCM is in HD now BUT still shows movies like Gandhi in their original 2:1 theater format that they call "letterbox".

HBO and some of the other "premium" channels chop classic 2:1 format movies to the new HD 16:9 to "fit" the screen. that's almost as aggravating as chopping to the old analog 4:3 "skinny scope" TV screen.
