I just read that on of the networks is remaking a classic sci-fi movie from my youth called "V." This show started out as a mini-series but had so much attention that it was a full-fledged series for a couple of years.
If you don't remember let me refresh your memory. A bunch of alien ships come to earth and station themselves all over the world (like Independence Day). They tell everyone that they are not here to harm them but help them. They need to also help themselves by mining some element that is unique to Earth and not on their planet. In exchange they will share some of their technology with us. Without surprise people no only got on board with this but began to worship these aliens as supreme beings sent down by the heavens.
Things don't always seem as them seem from the beginning as peculiarly not one alien is bad looking. They are all very fit and educated. Eventually it was discovered that these aliens who appear to be humanoid are nothing more than lizards covered with human skin as not to frighten us. When the jig was up they no longer tried to hide it as much as were seen eating rats and shedding their skin more often.
Not surprising a rebellion starts and citizens are trying to get rid of these aliens and send them back home. This is the basis of the series, how to ride yourself of this threat.
It was a great series and now they are going to renew it. Just google "V" if you want to see some of the promos. It looks good.
Anyone else remember this series in their youth and anyone who does looking forward to seeing this series again?

I will check it out on line. Still hoping the Beastmaster and Freddy will be in this version.
