I watched Rescue Me since the first episode first aired. I stopped watching after the 3rd season. It just got too boring and too ridiculous, but most importantly I no longer cared about any of the characters.

I&#x27;ve tried and tried and tried, but it all just seems too contrived for my taste.  Seems like a soap opera for men, which might be an oxymoron.

I think the show has slowly slid the past couple seasons and I dont seem to give much care about many of the characters anymore.  I think Leary&#x27;s character has actually gone down the most, while I used to find Tommy Gavin to be an entertaining loser full of drama, now its just a boring repetitive thing going on there.  Havent watched any episodes of the new season yet, but will check them out.

It&#x27;s pretty much the same thing year after year with a few wtf moments mixed in. I have like 9 episodes on my DVR and will likely watch it some weekend this winter when it&#x27;s cold or something.

I agree with everyone so far in that somewhere in the middle of Season 3 it has started a downward slide. That said, there was one classic episode in the latest season(the poisoned whiskey ep), along with a couple of really good eps scattered throughout.

Still watchable.

I&#x27;m a fan of Rescue Me. I think when shows have been on for so long there are bound to be down moments. I think same thing can be said about some episodes of Entourage and Big Bang Theory.
