I grew up listening to Rodney and this documentary does a pretty good job at celebrating a truly eccentric and genuinely important figure in recent rock history. Rodney is more than a DJ, he is the ultimate fan. There are some people that you simply can’t imagine doing anything but what they do, and that is true of Mr. Bingenheimer. I used to stay up listening to his show when I was in High School knowing that I would be exhausted in the morning because he exposed me to a lot of the greats: Dead Kennedys, The Ramones, X and so many more. His enthusiasm for up and coming and unique artistic music is infectious. I enjoyed this portrait of the icon.
