Brilliant film making. Possibly the best crime film I've ever seen and I loved the godfather. Jack Nicholson plays a boston mob boss, Leo DiCaprio (who steals the show) is an undercover cop who infiltrates the mob, Matt Damon is a mobster who infiltrates the police. Alec Baldwin, Mark Wahlberg & Martin Sheen all play cop bosses. Martin Scorcese directed it.

Fantastic film. Two and a half hours but well worth it.

Gosh this Marty Scorsese guy is quiet a talent no?  I foresee big things ahead for this up and coming cat........anyone know of any other movies by this guy?

disagree.  total remake of a prior film.  no imagination.  why is it so hard for these "artists" to come up original ideas.

great acting but a ridiculously confusing plot and everyone dies at the end. definitely not as watchable as say goodfellas
